JPMorgan Chase Machine Learning Engineer in Wilmington, Delaware

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design and implement machine learning solutions to address business needs. Design adverse action reasons for machine learning models performing risk estimations. Implement various model metrics and validation measures, including out-of-time validation and in-time validation of behavioral models. Design and implement systems by optimizing model hyper parameter tuning processes and satisfying model validation needs. Perform data cleaning, wrangling, feature engineering, and feature selection for statistical models and more advanced machine learning techniques. Build and maintain high availability, low latency model systems with a focus on model development reliability testing and observability. Conduct full life cycle model development including the design, implementation, and validation of machine learning models along with model optimization and post-production performance monitoring. Collaborate with regulations including both internal model governance and external model regulators to ensure models and machine learning solutions strictly adhere to the desired level of model regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Statistics, Information Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Analytics or related quantitative field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Machine Learning Engineer, Structural Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: machine learning pipeline infrastructures and model building on a distributed Spark computation platform such as Hadoop, HDFS, Teradata, AWS cloud, or Hive; programming in Python and JVM-based programming languages including Java and Scala; interpreting and explaining machine learning models including XGBoost and GBM; developing or applying statistical modeling and advanced machine learning techniques such as GLM Regression, Random Forest, Boosting Trees, Neural Network, Clustering, KNN, or Anomaly Detection to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data in order to identify useful information.
