Wyoming County Human Resources PSYCHIATRIC ASSESSMENT OFFICER -PER DIEM in Warsaw, New York

PSYCHIATRIC ASSESSMENT OFFICER: WYOMING COUNTY COMMUNITY HEALTH SYSTEM

HOURS: All shifts and units assigned

SALARY: $35.97 - $41.65 per hour, Per Diem

LOCATION:Wyoming County Community Health System 400 North Main Street, Warsaw, New York 14569

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The Psychiatric Assessment Officer (PAO) requires the performance of social work services in helping clients with social, emotional and related difficulties associated with their medical condition. The work is performed under the supervision of the director of mental health who consults with a psychiatrist. Employees in this class are expected to confer with professionals or agencies in or outside the facility to obtain assistance and guidance for residents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Master's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services or a closely related field with some experience working in a mental health setting.

NOTE: Must obtain NYS license as a Mental Health Counselor, MSW or CSW within 12 months of appointment.
