The purpose of the role:

We’re looking for an International Tax Advisor. In this role you will support the Tax Manager for Africa in managing the corporate and indirect tax affairs of the Aggreko group in that region.

Key Responsibilities

The key focus areas for the International Tax Adviser role are:

• Tax Accounting and Reporting for the purposes of the Accounts process, Tax Process, Forecasting, Statutory Accounts and Internal Tax Reporting.

• Act as the main point of contact for corporate tax compliance services and transfer pricing provided by external firms and maintain the corporate tax process.

• Work with the wider finance teams to ensure appropriate compliance with VAT, customs duties, payroll taxes and local taxes.

• Ensure timely and accurate preparations and submission of all monthly and quarterly indirect tax returns.

• Identifying, monitoring and managing tax risks (direct and indirect) within Africa.

• Analysing, determining provisions, and documenting the risks to validate the provisions carried in the statutory accounts.

What we’re looking for:

• Ideally looking for a Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

• A background in tax, compliance, or audit.

• Strong MS Excel skills.

• Experience in working in tax, audit or compliance with Africa or the Middle East would be advantageous.

• Experience working with tax software (Bloomberg, IBFD, Thomson Reuter)
