Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Design Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Torrance, CA facility.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $75037.5 - $110055.0 a year.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview:

PCB Designer will be responsible for detailed design and documentation of Schematic and PCB for any product from any project engineer. Duties may also include updating existing PCBs and documentation, mechanical parts design and drafting, creating all assembly drawings and BOMs, processing ECOs.

In this role, you will:

• Generate reliable, cost effective, PCB design solutions that meet or exceed the needs of customer applications as well as comply with all applicable governing regulatory standards (UL, IPC, etc.)

• Learn Engineering simulation & modeling software to support development processes for power supply design

• Participate in drafting for the development of production tooling and assembly fixtures to enable error-proof and cost-effective production of power supplies

• Be proficient on schematic capture and PCB layout and 2D & 3D mechanical CAD software using PCAD and Altium

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution

• Experience in Altium

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualifications:

• Mechanical parts and assembly design experience

• Proficiency in computer simulation and modeling software (thermal)

• Experience with Mil Stds 461, 704 etc, DO-160 stds, and UL compliance requirements

• Experience in P-CAD

• Experience in Enovia

• Familiarity with electronic components

Position Success Criteria:

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.

• Act as subject matter expert for DC/DC and AC/DC Power Supplies PCB design

• Experience using CAD tools, PCAD, Altium or equivalent, Solidworks, Microsoft Office
