  Requirements

• Caregiver Certification or Equivalent experience (may have CNA or LNA license)

• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications

• Valid AZ Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

• Evidence of a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray

• Article 9 and Prevention and Support certifications (preferred)

  Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D certificate preferred.

• Caregiver: 1 year (Preferred)

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.

• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile

• Authorized to work in the U.S.A.

  Skills

• Effective listening skills and communication among residents and staff

• Planning and Time Management skills

  Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding etc.)

• Personal Hygiene care such as changing briefs, nail care, mouth care, etc.

• Meal Preparation

• Housekeeping/Laundry duties for all residents

• Properly transferring residents from bed to chair, chair to toilet, chair to vehicle etc.

• Monitoring any changes in resident’s health, and properly reporting changes as needed

• Maintain confidentiality of all residents

• Collaboration performance and ensuring you’re working as a team with other staff

• Must be able to provide companionship to residents (i.e. crafts, painting, sensory games etc.)

• Other clinical or non-clinical duties that may be assigned by the group home manager as necessary

  Summary of Duties: As a Dreamcare of AZ Group Home Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care of up to 6 adult residents with developmental disabilities. The Group Home Caregiver must present full clinical understanding of each resident and their care, attend to their needs, and maintain professional conduct and communication.
