You will partner with internal and extremal customers to answer technical questions regarding Airgas equipment, and keep the plant in compliance with all FDA, Safecor, and DOT regulations. In particular, you will: Install, extract, inspect, troubleshoot and repair bulk tanks, valves and cryogenic pumps and perform operational tests after installation. Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders. Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus, tanks, and valves and associated monitoring devices. Answer technical questions from internal or external sources. Conduct periodic checks of the Plant for safe and efficient operations. Operate a vehicle to travel to customer sites to work on equipment as needed. Repair and maintain equipment in the plant such as compressors, scrubbers, instrument panels, and electrical equipment, following blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals, using hand tools, welding equipment, and testing instruments. Weld, braze, burn and solders parts. May operate metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Repair and replace pipes and equipment, using pipefitting tools. Repair and adjust instrument control panels, rectifiers, motors, switches, and other electrical equipment. Repack compressors and pumps. __Are you a MATCH? High School Diploma or equivalent experience and education. At least one year of knowledge and experience of arc and gas welding with at least two years industry experience is preferred. Competent in plumbing, carpentry and masonry work. Experience working with electrical circuits, motors, compressors, pumps and drives in an industrial setting. Ability to perform very heavy work, routinely lift 25-50 pounds and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 pounds. Must be able to work occasional overtime to keep the plant running with limited downtime. Must be able to work outdoors and in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 110 degrees.
