FirstService Residential Lifestyle Director in Surprise, Arizona

Job Overview:

As a Lifestyle Director you will facilitate and promote recreational and social community events to enhance the quality of life and community engagements of our residents. Ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and enjoy working with committee members and community residents.

Compensation: $48-50k+ annually, depending on experienceÂ

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute regular community-wide signature events, outdoor movie nights, and family-friendly activities throughout the year
  • Works collaboratively with board members, committee members and residents
  • Books and assists with monitoring of resident, club and facility rentals
  • Build relationships with local businesses and organizations to develop community partnerships and sponsorships
  • Facilities budgets for community programs and events
  • Manage and facilitates calendar of social, recreational, and community events, including holiday celebrations and resident programs
  • Oversee the programming and scheduling of all Community facilities, amenities, and parks
  • Oversee and manage the  Community Coordinator position and assist in facilitating all duties of that position
  • Assist members, clubs and community organizations in the scheduling of Community facilities
  • Return all phone calls regarding amenity and event inquiries within 24 hours
  • Promote the Community newsletter, website, social media and marketing publications as assigned
  • Create community flyers and send community E-Blast
  • Write monthly/ weekly reports for board meetings outlining the events and lifestyle happenings
  • Coordinate the collection of fees as applicable

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Must be able to effectively communicate through written & verbal means
  • Strong multitasking skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize them according to their level of importance
  • Proven time management abilities, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Superb attention to detail

Education and Experience:

  • Utilization of ticket sales systems and payment processing systems
  • Degree in recreation, hospitality or communication field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in coordinating and promoting activities and events
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Walk and move throughout the community common areas and facilities
  • Sit and stand for moderate periods of time
  • Sit at a desk using a computer in an office setting

Work Location : Marley Park Community Association; 15210 W Sweetwater Avenue Surprise, AZ 85379

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8a – 5p with some evenings and weekends as needed to attend events
