Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurse (RN) Coordinator looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

Coordinates the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process to ensure that comprehensive assessments are completed timely and that each resident has an appropriate individualized plan of care. The MDS/Intake Coordinator will be the facility resource for continued staff education in the RAI process. Completes intake assessments and displays the ability to analyze care needs as well as financial impact of potential admissions. Participates in QA activities. Assists with continued development and utilization of the EMR.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

  Licensure/Certification/Registration and Experience

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure is required.

  Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday; Days

• With weekend and holiday involvement, call rotation

  Pay

  The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $32.50 - $48.75 per hour
