Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Americas Regional EHS Leader to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) strategies across the Americas region. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive compliance, and champion a safety-first culture. This position reports directly to the VP of Facilities, EHS and Security with 5 direct reports and organization of 20 supporting our manufacturing locations in ID, NH, NY, OR, PA and Canada as well as our non-manufacturing locations across the region.

Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership:

  2. Develop and execute EHS strategies aligned with onsemi’s global objectives.

  3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and reduce environmental impact.

  4. Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate EHS considerations into business decisions.

  5. Compliance and Risk Management:

  6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  7. Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.

  8. Monitor EHS performance metrics and report to management.

  9. Safety Culture and Training:

  10. Foster a safety-conscious culture across the Americas region.

  11. Provide EHS training to employees, contractors, and visitors.

  12. Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.

  13. Environmental Stewardship:

  14. Implement sustainable practices to minimize environmental footprint.

  15. Manage waste disposal, emissions, and energy efficiency programs.

  16. Collaborate with stakeholders on environmental initiatives.

  17. Emergency Preparedness and Response:

  18. Develop and maintain emergency response plans.

  19. Coordinate drills and exercises to ensure readiness.

  20. Respond effectively to incidents and emergencies.

  21. Stakeholder Engagement:

  22. Engage with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and local communities.

  23. Represent onsemi in EHS forums and conferences.

  24. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  25. Team Engagement and Development:

  26. Proven experience selecting and building strong teams

  27. Has eye for team member development and creates opportunities for team members to grown their EHS and leadership skillsets.

  28. Strong leadership skills to implement effective operating system for direct reports
