UTAH COMMUNITY ACTION Building Maintenance Technician in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

 

Utah Community Action of Salt Lake City, UT is seeking to hire a full time Building Maintenance Technician. Come work for the agency that has been awarded Best of State 2022 for Best Public Preschool and Best Charitable Service Organization.

This Building Maintenance Technician position earns a competitive wage of $21.59/hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

As a Building Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building. Receive and respond to maintenance tickets submitted. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks. Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems within structures. Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects. Monitor and maintain agency facilities and grounds including all Head Start playground equipment. Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and program regulations. Ensure health and safety policies are followed. Installation and relocation of office furniture, appliances, and other equipment at various sites.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • 3 years of building maintenance experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable

Preferred Qualifications

  • A CDL license is preferred but not required
  • Certification from a technical school in a construction related field is preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE

Typical work schedule 7:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.
