  · Thisposition provides mental health care to a population with mental illness, intellectualand developmental disabilities and high risk for suicide and self-injury.Develop Mental Health treatment plans to serve as the basis for treatment.Provide individual and group therapy. Perform routine mental health assessmentsand interviews to determine progress. Update diagnosis and psychiatric needslevels. Referrals to psychology for more complex psychological assessment.Provide information to psychiatry to include client history, previousdiagnoses, and alternative treatment available. Assures both emergency andnon-emergency transfer for inmates experiencing acute mental health crisis.Assures continuity of care for patients by making appropriate referral andproviding necessary information and documentation for transition to receivingunits, facilities, or agencies.

Required Qualifications

• Active/Unrestricted NC License

• BLS/ACLS Certification

• 1 year experience preferred
