LICENSING AND REGISTRATION ASSISTANT - Permitting and Inspections Department

Full Time Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm.

Join our team as a Licensing and Registration Assistant, where you\'ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that the license and registration process is navigated with ease. This is a specialized customer service position responsible for processing new and renewal applications for Business Licenses and the Citys Rental Registration program.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• The work involved requires accuracy, timeliness and very close attention to detail.
• Excellent filing and record keeping are required.
• Must be proficient in Google Docs and Sheets, and be able to quickly learn the Citys own programs.
• Must have knowledge of cash processing procedures, including daily cash transactions.
• Demonstrate ability to maintain professionalism at all times with customers and other employees.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• The candidate will report directly to the Rental Registration Coordinator.

Requirements:

• High School graduate, college experience a plus.
• Strong customer service and clerical experience is desired.
• Must be able to work with a diverse population, including people who do not speak English.
• Candidates must possess a valid State of Maine Class C drivers license and a personal vehicle available for work use.

Salary:

CEBA Union Grade 13 - Pay range starting at \$21.69/hour.
