Medical Assistant - MA

Experience success from day one as a Medical Assistant at a Pleasanton, CA facility that will equip you to succeed! On top of a $25-$28 pay rate, you will also enjoy a welcome orientation with a personal shadowing experience to help you acclimate to the facility. Enjoy a top-of-the-line EMR system to simplify care and a comfortable atmosphere to make your impact as a Medical Assistant. Key responsibilities include assisting patients with instructions on changing into gowns, monitoring and controlling the flow of patients from check-in to the changing room to the RN station, wheeling patients from the procedure room to the PACU, and sterilizing procedure equipment in the autoclave. This position is for one day a week, Thursdays, for a trial run of one month.

PAY:

$200 - $224 /Weekly Gross

$25 - $28 /Hourly

8 hours /Week

• Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks; checks in patients, assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, prepares charts, and assists with medical examinations.

• Performs routine specialized procedures, such as venipuncture, catheterization, and sterile dressing changes under established protocols.

• Preparing the patient for and assisting the physician during an exam.

• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens and performing basic lab tests.

• Maintains stocks of medicines and medical supplies as necessary.

• Interviews and reviews patients for financial status, as appropriate.

• Educates and advises patients on specified medical issues within established parameters.

• Schedules and monitors patient appointments; may coordinate routine office activities and administrative functions in support of unit activities.

• Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.

• May recruit patients for studies and may participate in outreach clinical activities as required.

• May supervise student employees in specified tasks.

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MA MEDICAL ASSISTANT:

• Medical assistant or equivalent clinical training

• 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
