Club Attendant

SUMMARY

The seasonal Club Attendant, reporting to the Membership Director, will be responsible for assisting guests and maintain pool and fitness facilities. The Club Attendant will perform Lifeguard duties and should enforce all policies and follow all pool procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Job duties include; although are not limited to:• Daily set up of Pool and Patio• Follow and assist in enforcing all membership facility policies, rules, and regulations• When on lifeguard duty, maintain constant surveillance of guests in the pool. Constantly maintain the 10/10 scanning and visual coverage of the pool at all times. Lifeguards can recognize swimmer in distress in 10 seconds and provide assistance in 10 additional seconds.• Complete all required reports and records on schedule and submit to supervisor• Assist in the daily cleaning of pool facility, skimming the pool to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary facility• Assist with maintenance of pool surroundings by watering plants, lawn and weed control• Responsible for monitoring the fitness center, set up equipment and perform daily maintenance such as wiping down and sanitizing equipment • Monitor the fitness equipment for broken parts and report any problems immediately.• Ensure a clean and safe fitness environment at all times• Maintain the facility locker rooms for cleanliness and restock towels, paper products and toiletries• Properly serve food and beverage to guests/members on “as needed” basis• Assist the Membership Director and carry out all duties assigned • Assist with set-up for Tennis Courts and member services relative to tennis activities • Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain the highest levels of customer service

QUALIFICATIONS • American Red Cross for American Heart Association First Aid / CPR certification• American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification• At least 17 years of age (preferred)• Energetic and service oriented person with an affinity for Wellness and Fitness as well as order and cleanliness• This person must be experienced in providing personalized and attentive service and be enthusiastic, friendly and accommodating• Enjoy interacting with people in a fast paced environment• Excellent organizational and time management skills• Must possess a positive attitude and be willing to participate in a learning environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : The employee must be able to lift and/or move victims, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds or more and complete the required American Red Cross physical certification requirements. Must be able to stand for an extended period. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. The majority of the duties performed will take place in and around the pool in outdoor weather conditions.
