Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or delegate, assists by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the nursing station.

• Performs clerical functions for nursing staff and MDs
• Assists in orientation of new staff
• Answers telephones and nurse call system and communicates in a timely fashion
• Promotes professional environment at work station
• Greets families and visitors
• Collects and prepares medical records for transfers and discharges
• Coordinates and communicates diagnostic testing schedules with nursing staff and MDs
