TheAssociate Executive Director for Pre-K Programsplays a crucial role in overseeing and managing pre-kindergarten programs. Here are the key responsibilities associated with this position:

Program Supervision and Support:

  • Under the supervision of theExecutive Director for Pre-K Programs, the Associate Executive Director ensures the effective implementation of the vision, expectations, and structures set by the Executive Director.

  • They provide guidance and support to allHealthy Kids Prekindergarten programs

Daily Operations:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of pre-K programs, including curriculum, staffing, safety, and program quality.

  • Ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for young children.

Leadership and Management:

  • Providing leadership to program staff, teachers, and administrators.

  • Collaborating with other team members to achieve program goals and objectives.

Budget and Finance:

  • Managing program budgets, financial resources, and funding allocations.

  • Ensuring efficient utilization of resources while maintaining program quality.

Community Engagement:

  • Building positive relationships with parents, families, and community stakeholders.

  • Representing the program in community events and meetings.

Quality Improvement:

  • Continuously assessing and improving program quality.

  • Implementing best practices in early childhood education.

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Adhering to state and federal regulations related to pre-K education.

  • Ensuring program compliance with licensing requirements.

Staff Development:

  • Supporting professional development for teachers and staff.

  • Encouraging ongoing learning and growth.

Overall, the Associate Executive Director for Pre-K Programs contributes to the success of pre-kindergarten initiatives, fostering a positive learning environment for young children and promoting their development and well-being.

PAY RATE:$72,000-$80,000 annually based on experience, paid on a biweekly basis.

Requirements

Required skills and qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Leadership and Communication:

  • Exceptional leadership skillsare necessary for guiding and supervising staff, including teachers and assistants.

  • Effectivecommunicationis vital for building relationships with families, parents, and staff members.

Organizational Proficiency:

  • The ability tomultitask, meet project deadlines and keep tasks organized.

  • Budget managementskills to prepare and oversee program budgets.

Dedication to Diversity and Equity:

  • A commitment to promotingdiversity, equity, and inclusionwithin the pre-K programs.

  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to create an inclusive environment.

Regulatory Knowledge:

  • Familiarity withstate and federal guidelinesrelated to early childhood education.

  • Ensuring compliance with licensing requirements and program standards.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

  • Addressing conflicts among children and effectively communicating with parents and families.

  • Handling day-to-day challenges in a constructive manner.

Technology Skills:

  • Proficiency in utilizing technology fordata analysis and reporting.

  • Managing program information efficiently.
