Boutique Tax Office - Family Office and High Net Worths

Our client, a very established CPA Tax firm devoted to high net worth and Family Office type services, is recruiting for a Tax Manager to join the team based in the Newton/Needham area. This role involves managing a diverse set of clients and overseeing tax-related work. The clients range from small to medium sized businesses, international companies, to high-net-worth individuals in various industries. This role requires a collaborative approach, working alongside partners and other team members.

This role would have direct client contact. The firm takes pride in a very white-glove approach to their clients. The role also dives into some traditional Family Office projects to help the clients make good decisions. There are no business development requirements to this role. The firm has a growing and loyal client base.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct tax research and analysis.

• Respond to inquiries from clients, Internal Revenue Service, State and Local tax notices.

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.

• Correspond with clients to gather information, answer inquiries, and provide deliverables.

• Use accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient work flow.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and laws.

• Handle indirect tax compliance for high-net-worth individuals.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will

• 5+ years of proven experience in a managerial role within a public tax environment.

• CPA, EA and/or MST a plus

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems such as ADP - Financial Services, CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax,

• Experience working with high-net-worth individuals.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

The firm is mostly on-site work at he office, however the firm promotes a great flex work environment AND has a very generous Fridays Off for non-busy season (this means lots of Fridays off) as well as shut-downs in summer (week of the 4th) and December holiday week completely off. Vacation is also generous.

Compensation is a very competitive base and potential bonus.
