Our AI-driven expert platform strategy (https://www.intuit.com/strategy/) is driving strong momentum and accelerating innovation. Intuit is building platform capabilities to accelerate development velocity for internal and external consumption as part of this strategy.

The Development Services and Experiences (DevX) team at Intuit builds foundational capabilities that developers use to build and run Intuit’s flagship applications and ecosystems. We’re looking for an experienced marketing technologist who loves fostering developer communities and enjoys building and growing teams from the ground up. This leader will instill a sense of urgency and accountability and will also be able to create and articulate a strategic vision clearly and persuasively both to colleagues within the company and to external constituencies.

This leadership position will report to the VP of Product & Design, DevX, and will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Open Source

Intuit believes in open source as a consumer and contributor and actively participates in many open-source communities, including CNCF, Istio, GraphQL, Web, and Mobile ecosystems. You will be responsible for evangelism and liaising with the broader community ecosystem for Intuit’s open-source projects, coordinating with stakeholders to raise Intuit’s brand awareness and profile in these communities. You will also drive programs to encourage open source project creation and contribution.

  • Intuit Platform and InnerSource

Leveraging shared capabilities is a key part of the AI-driven platform strategy. As part of this strategy, you’ll create and foster development communities in web, mobile, cloud-native, AI/data, and operational excellence to amplify the capabilities through platform experiences and self-serve capabilities (docs, APIs, etc.) with InnerSource and open contribution model and best practices.

  • External Communities

You will be the Intuit champion for development communities outside of Intuit by participating in strategic public-facing opportunities around open source, internal, and API products and programs, including technology conferences, blogs, speaking engagements, partnerships, online forums, etc. You’ll create programs for engineers to pursue and participate in public-facing speaking, writing, etc., about open source, new technologies, or other identified and approved topics. You will also work with the development communities outside to evangelize Intuit’s API offerings and platform strategy, working with stakeholders across Intuit.

What you'll bring

Must have:

  • Excellent people management skills to build, inspire, and coach a high-performing team and lead effectively in a matrix organization.

  • Demonstrable competency in managing a multi-million dollar budget, establishing sourcing directions for the product division, and providing context for related decisions.

  • Ability to set a strong vision for the team and follow through to execution. Proficiency in making informed and swift decisions considering all key stakeholders (employees, customers, partners teams, etc.) and evidence of making successful trade-offs between short and long-term goals.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills - leading execution across cross-functional teams, influencing across organizations in small teams and larger group presentation formats.

  • Strong public speaking, presentation, and writing skills.
