Join our team as a Sr. Design Engineer - Rider Interface (Hybrid). Job Summary Join our team as a Electrical Systems Senior Design Engineer - Rider Interface. This position will be responsible for overall ownership of the motorcycle electrical system relating to design functions at the vehicle level, acting as the owner of their design from concept and evaluation to production launch and in-field quality control. Demonstrate understanding of specific components and vehicle system level interactions while possessing technical skills in electronic modules, software and overall system development and performance. Ensure release of a great motorcycle and riding experience. This specific role will be focused on Rider Interface systems including delivery of motorcycle hand controls, instrumentation and infotainment. Hybrid Location Position will be hybrid with time split between a home office and on-site at our Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI. Job Responsibilities Deliver robust, optimized designs for vehicle functions and systems while adhering to project targets, performance objectives, high quality, and cost minimization. Author requirements for vehicle functions and system architecture with focus on ISO26262 compliance. Generate plans for development and feature maturity. Partner with a cross-functional team and suppliers to meet program and build milestones. Identify risks and propose mitigations. Verify component & system performance to H-D standards, approve supplier validation, and work with test and verification entities to ensure EE system meets or exceeds targets.
