FirstService Residential Lifestyle Communication Coordinator - Part Time in Las Vegas, Nevada

Job Overview:

The Lifestyle Communications Coordinator supports the Lifestyle and Communications Director. This position is responsible for composing, editing, and managing all internal and external communications as directed, with a primary focus on monthly magazines, e-blasts, and website maintenance.

Compensation: $18.50 per hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, certifications, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Proof and organize layouts for the monthly magazine by gathering data from residents, board, and staff.
  • Produce promotional materials for in-house and off-site events including writing articles, producing flyers/signage and banners, maintaining bulletin boards, and event and website registrations.
  • Maintain the Community website, ensuring content is current and relevant, updating as necessary, overseeing website functionality, and providing support to residents.
  • Provide recommendations on the development and implementation of an overall communication strategy and practices as it relates to the Community.
  • Coordinate with other departments, Clubs & Groups to compile, create and distribute e-blasts, and follow up on questions, comments, and concerns they raise. Blasts may include information about news and events of interest to the Community, safety/security updates, owner surveys, and/or other Community announcements.
  • Complete special projects as assigned. Such projects may include developing content for informational brochures and creating quarterly billing inserts or mailings.
  • Assist with coordinating and organizing a variety of resident activities and events.
  • Effectively communicate program and event information through various channels, such as social media, community newsletters, website updates, and e-blasts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, including assisting with ticket sales at community events.
  • Provide assistance with food services as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling and programming of community amenities, parks, and facilities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, and creative individual with a genuine passion for community building and event planning.
  • Able to work both in a team environment and independently.
  • Experience working with and managing volunteers, including training, recognition, and engagement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills resulting in strong working relationships.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Able to identify issues and resolve them before problems arise.
  • Able to plan, organize, and execute resident programs and social events to create a sense of community.

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of administrative office experience required.
  • Communications or marketing background preferred.
  • Excellent technology and Microsoft Office Suite skills are required.
  • Prior experience in Property Management or HOA management is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to safely lift, carry, and pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Property walks may occur which includes lengthy walks on uneven surfaces.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while staying on task.
