The Space Inventory Manager role is a highly strategic and analytical role that is responsible for simplifying the complex, seeing the big picture, and getting results related specifically to data associated with The Walt Disney World(WDW) and Florida site Building & Property Management (B&PM) portfolio (roughly 4.8 million SF). You will be the subject matter authority for key systems and processes who can proactively deliver innovative solutions, manage risk, and navigate obstacles. The Space Inventory Manager is a creative and effective leader, attentive to detail and accuracy – particularly numbers and spatial analytics, who can easily tell a relevant story through data.

This position reports to the Program Manager, Building & Property Management.

What You Will Do

  • Be responsible for compliance with the company’s safety programs and initiatives, as well as compliance with regulatory and building code requirements for use in space and programming.

  • Lead all work related to accurately gathering and maintaining critical facility analytics – including, but not limited to floor plans, asset metadata, wayfinding, space allocations, seat utilization, organizational hierarchy, etc.

  • Perform both qualitative and quantitative analysis - reviewing, preparing, and informing on actual vs. projected seat demand, current supply and capacity, and related relevant analytics.

  • Model flexibility and adaptability as a leader of a direct report; able to work in ambiguous situations with tenacity and perseverance.

  • Administer database to manage data input and customize table schema structure to accommodate evolving business needs.

  • Ensure office space standards are maintained for naming conventions and reporting.

  • Regularly audit raw data for uniformity and accurate data input.

  • Be the central point of contact for collection and documentation of space related requests including incremental space needs, optimization analysis, and operationally driven relocation requests.

  • Provide accurate and critical data to key real estate related and financial partners specific to department allocations.

  • Develop and implement strategies for data collection and reporting while identifying plans for continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate database and application updates in partnership with Technology partners and key vendors. May include application licensing, access, and technical support for Disneyland Paris.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FAM, Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Tax, WDW IFP Planning, Migration Planning, and Executive leadership to help with space optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Manage database of floor plans, maintain drawings, and accurately draw polylines to continuously balance facilities space assets against guidelines.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Archibus or other CAFM database applications.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and SAP.

  • Produce visualizations in multiple tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, PowerPoint).

  • Experience managing medium to large datasets for analysis of space planning, utilization, and optimization.

  • Proficiency with database architecture as it pertains to tables and fields.

  • Experience with data modeling to build and maintain database for business needs.

  • Experience using Excel to perform quantitative analysis on large sets of data, and translating technical terms to aid in decision making.

  • Experience leading multiple projects and resource simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team or direct reports

  • JavaScript experience

  • SQL and SQL Server experience

  • Knowledge of low-code application solutions in Microsoft Power Apps using SharePoint as a data source

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or related field
