Job Summary : Manages the technical resources of the Professional Development Department. Develops data bases and queries related to educational activities, PI and others as needed to track Professional Development activities. Assist educators and specialists with program components, such as technical assistance, Power Point and program planning. Coordinates nursing school clinical assignments with input from the Director or her designee which includes tracking school contracts, clinical rotation issues and other aspects of this process. Maintain inventory control of all equipment and supplies. Ensure all equipment and necessary components is loaned and returned fully functioning. Ensures timely communication of departmental changes utilizing newsletters and e-mails to the appropriate departments and individuals.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education: HS Graduate or GED; Associates degree preferred.
Experience : 2 years office/secretarial experience with experience in computer programs (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Graphic arts experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills: Skill in interpersonal relations and problem solving. Knowledge of various computer applications including Word, Power Point, Excel and Access data bases. Communicates clearly both verbally and written. Familiar with clerical procedures and medical terminology. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the public and hospital staff. Maintains detailed equipment and equipment records. Coordinates the distribution of and sets up equipment for multiple events. Assists staff in developing and assembling training materials. Manages multiple deadlines and priorities. Types 30 wpm correctly.
Other : Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Contacts : Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) candidates, students, physicians, employees, visitors, patients and families.
Work Demands/Environment :
Frequent sitting. Frequently requires long periods of working at a computer. Intermittent walking, standing, stooping, bending. May require lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. No exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Normal office environment. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, and/or irregular hours. Ability to read and comprehend. Travel may be required.
