The SAP SD Senior Manager will be part of the SAP ERP team within the Optum Rx Technology team performing business requirements, analysis, design, configuration, testing and user adoption related activities within both the Sales & Distribution (SD) functional area. The person in this position will collaborate with other SAP team members and staff towards defining, enhancing, and integrating SAP SD solutions across the ERP platform and related business processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage relationship and liaison with Optum’s finance, accounting and treasury business stakeholders on identifying and owning the business processes and requirements to be built in SAP S4/HANA

• Provide innovative ideas and solutions on how to streamline or optimize current business processing using SAP technology within the FICO space

• IT owner of SAP processes in the FICO area including configuration, testing and related functional documentation

• Configuring, setting up and maintaining new SAP companies, operating concerns, credit control areas, company codes, and business areas, as well as the profit center hierarchy

• Configuring, setting up, and maintaining general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, other areas within the FI module

• Supporting SAP FI module functionality including account determination, automatic clearings, period end close processes, journal entries, financial reporting, vendor management, cost center management, and credit management

• Supporting the inbound and outbound ACH bank integration processes within SAP

• Supporting the creation and maintenance of cost centers and profit centers

• Supporting fee for service (rebate) and chargeback processes as well as settlement management (preferably within a Vistex environment)

• Provide cross-functional SD and MM support for account posting configuration related to sales and purchase order processing

• Partner with systems integrator resources in performing fit-gap analysis, build, and testing of the solution that meets the business requirements

• Review impact of SAP functionality across functional teams and provide impact analysis and decisions to FICO business process owners, project managers, and other SAP implementation partners and team members

• Support existing financial business processes and help to develop new innovative processes to support business needs

• Serve as a leader/mentor for lesser experienced team members

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or MIS or 10+ years of equivalent experience

• 10+ years of SAP SD support experience

• 5+ years of SAP SD configurations, cross functional integrations and best practices knowledge

• 5+ years wholesale distribution LoB experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vistex experience

• Fiori experience

• Pharmaceutical industry experience

• Knowledge of DSCSA requirements

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
