Description We are in search of a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will predominantly focus on areas such as Accounts Receivable (AR), cash applications, billing, collections, and providing excellent internal and external customer service. This position provides an excellent opportunity to apply and enhance your skills in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and BlackLine within a dynamic workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and perform month-end close activities

• Handle cash applications and maintain accurate records of transactions

• Oversee billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Undertake collections activities and follow up on overdue accounts

• Liaise with traders and sales team, providing exceptional customer service

• Generate and analyze aging reports to track overdue accounts

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis, including the use of VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions

• Operate SAP and BlackLine for various accounting tasks

• Handle B2B collections, ensuring efficient recovery of amounts due

• Comply with all industry rules and regulations. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with SAP software for business operations

• Skilled in Cash Applications

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with BlackLine software for finance controls and automation

• Experience in B2B collections

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
