Queen's Health System Recalls, Exceptions & Substitution Specialist - Purchasing (Full-Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supports the execution of actions plans for shortages and product recalls. Ensures appropriate parties are notified, adherence to recall guidelines, and required timelines are met.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Frequent: walking.
• Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
• Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax and printer.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; or four (4) years supply chain management experience may be substituted for education requirement.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• In addition to education requirement, two (2) years supply chain management experience, preferably in a comparable organization.
• Experience to demonstrate the following:
o Ability to analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
o Prior inventory control experience.
o Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel; knowledge of automated information systems.
