Insight Global Senior Tax Associate in Hartford, Connecticut

Job Description

A local accounting firm is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join their team in Hartford or Hamden, CT or Holyoke, MA. This role is hybrid with 2 days on site required with additional travel to client sites. The Senior Tax Associate would be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, identifying issues and applying accounting principles to find the best solutions encountered on assigned engagements. The Tax Associate would be preparing clear and concise work papers with definite conclusions and be involved with client correspondence. The Tax Manager or Partner would be working with the Tax Associate on an engagement. They would perform and participate in the engagement planning which would include budgeting, risk assessment, and strategic development. The ideal candidate would have working knowledge of tax compliance and a good understanding of the firm's full range of client services. They are expected to develop and maintain relationships with different clients and be a self-sufficient team player. The ideal individual would have previous experience working within public accounting and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skills and Requirements

-3+ years' experience in Tax Compliance

-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

-Experience working in Public Accounting

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills -CPA license preferred

-Previous experience working with manufacturing, non-profit organizations, financial institutions, or real estate companies

-Experience working in teams null
