The Care Center Apprentice assists in care center activities that foster a resident-centered environment and enhance overall resident well-being. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a safety sensitive position.
Principal Accountabilities / Essential Job Functions:
Assists residents to meals and activities.
Assists with activities of daily living under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
Assists with providing a safe Care Center environment.
Changes resident linens, makes residents' beds, and straightens resident rooms.
Delivers resident mail.
Participates in care planning and quality meetings as appropriate.
Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the Company's Mission, Value and Resident Care Philosophy and Standards of Care and Practice through behavior and attitude.
Must be knowledgeable and adhere to upholding resident rights.
Performs duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Reports any signs of resident abuse or neglect or any significant change in resident condition immediately to supervisor or Executive Director.
Education and Experience:
Education: Currently enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant Program is required.
Work Experience: Prior experience working in a customer service environment is required.
Licensure / Certification: Ability to be trained to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
