GENERAL NATURE OF POSITION:
Assess and repair equipment and machinery in Distribution Center.
***Please note that this a 3rd Shift position.***
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Attend to work orders scheduled by Supervisor.
• Preventative maintenance and repair of all materials handling equipment in facility.
• Preventative maintenance of conveyor systems.
• Trouble shooting all equipment in facility.
• Be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Knowledge of spare parts procedures and inventory control.
• Help maintain parts procedures and inventory control.
• Perform all jobs safely.
• Strong electrical skills.
• Well organized to fill out and perform work orders.
• On-going certifications may be necessary as it relates new equipment to job performance.
• Ability to work on 3rd shift
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Electrical motor control; mechanical skills;. One to three years of progressive mechanical aptitude in a manufacturing environment. Welding, soldering and cutting torch skills. Basic knowledge of conveyor's mechanical systems.
ACCOUNTABILITY FOR COMPANY ASSETS/EXPENDITURES:
Industrial tools and equipment assigned. Personal tools (pliers, wrench, screwdriver) to be provided by individual.
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Hand tools, drills, grinders, saws, multimeter, tachometer , welder, solder, cutting torch, vibrator analyzer, hydraulic gear puller, electric forklifts, pallet jacks and CRTs.
Operate all lift trucks including walkie rider, order picker, turret truck, scissors lift and boomlift.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
PHYSICAL DEMAND INVOLVED:
Heavy lifting, work overtime as required, able to work any shift and weekends, as scheduled.
