Emerson Sales/Order Management Engineer in Doha, Qatar

Job Summary:

The Senior Application Engineer assists customers by identifying the best solution for their application; offers and sells complete product solutions of Flow Controls portfolio; provides commercial and technical support to customers; always aims to provide the highest standards of customer service working with peers, Outside Sales, Service Engineers, Business Managers, etc.

The person will also support outside sales and service team for site walkdowns and DVC migrations for Northern region customers.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provide Applications Engineering, Technical and Pricing Support to Northern region customers, including technical presentations, product/solution spec-in.

  • Sizing and selection of control valves and other FCV products and review project specifications to prepare deviations list. Prepare customer quotations that are on time, technically accurate, commercially verified, offering the best all-round solution.

  • Engage in direct customer technical sales calls, order close outs, site walkdown and prepare reports.

  • Co-ordinate with GIS / US engineering team for root-cause analysis and getting solution for severe service applications and complex products and submit to customer with detailed technical solution / presentation.

  • Follow-up on quotations with customers and outside sales team until we get the purchase order.

  • Ensure that purchase orders are commercially and technically compliant before processing for order entry in accordance with relevant procedures and enter the error-free orders to respective factories for order processing.

  • Co-ordinate with Project Management / Order Entry / Customer Order Fulfillment (COF) team to provide clean orders to factories and liaise with customers for post order supports and documentation.

  • Collaborate and support Flow Control Sales Manager and Application Manager to meet the Sales budget for Northern region in line with agreed departmental KPIs (Hit Rate/Budget).

  • Maintain the records and information’s in the Emerson tools such as Share point, CRM, etc..

  • Comply with local and international Emerson Trade Compliance and Quality Management procedures, as well as the Emerson Ethics policy, with respect to all business activities.

  • Keep up to date with developments in products, industries and market trends.

Who you are?

Experience in control valve product and applications and Fisher sizing/selection tools.

Experience selling Severe Service Fisher products to HC, Chemical & Petrochemical end-users.

Sound knowledge on industrial standards for control valves design, manufacturing, testing etc.

Knowledge on competitors’ products and solutions

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • A minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in the process control industry including control valve products and applications

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Experience in working with control valve sizing and selection tools.

Excellent interpretation skills relating to engineering details & P&ID drawings.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to make technical decisions based on sound engineering facts & applicable codes.

Able to interact positively with all customers, recognizing and adapting to the cultural differences that exist.
