As Lead Cook – Garde Mange, you will play a crucial role in the Culinary Department, overseeing the preparation, service, and presentation of cold foods. You will assist with managing different aspects of cold food production, including Salads, Fruit, Cold Cuts, and other cold kitchen cuisines. This position requires attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that cold foods meet the hotel’s standards and expectations.

  • Oversee culinary work in Garde Mange station. Assist with training and overseeing other cooks, ensuring consistent quality.

  • Maintain food inventories, track product storage, and promote food safety.

  • Keep kitchen equipment clean and in good working condition.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of the Garde Mange and kitchen area.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.

  • Culinary degree or technical certifications and school training preferred.

  • 3 years of experience in Culinary/Kitchen Department – with prior experience in Garde Mange (Preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting).

  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

  • Good communication skills.

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Knowledge of Kitchen safety regulations and best practices.
