Logan Health Administrator - Skilled Nursing Facility - Conrad Care Center in Conrad, Montana

Job Description Summary:

This position has oversight and responsibility for operations, growth and development of the assigned area(s) at Logan Health (LH). Develops, implements, and administers successful and consistent service objectives, policies and procedures. Collaborates with leadership on care management, business strategy, business development, implementation and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) of the following required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, leadership or business-related field.

  • Minimum of seven (7) year’s related experience.

  • Montana Nursing Home Administrator License required.

  • Minimum of three (3) year’s related experience in assigned area(s) preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ leadership experience required.

  • Possess a solid understanding of Medicare and Medicaid programs required.

  • Possess a solid understanding of the health care environment, health care reform, regulatory knowledge and care delivery systems as they apply to the clinical practices in assigned area(s) required.

  • Expert level knowledge of interpretation, analysis, production, and application of financial and market data to impact decision-making and business development required.

  • Experience developing and executing specific, measureable business plans that have clear financial accountability and create successful, effective results required.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and develop patient care services appropriate for the assigned geography required. Expertise in developing profitability-based marketing strategies that effectively acquire new customers and incremental market share growth preferred.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex organizations on complex programs required.

  • Strong ability to develop and interpret research that evolves into successful marketing and business building strategies preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Drive organizational objectives by operationalizing changes and initiatives effectively and efficiently. Proactively anticipate both the needs of Logan Health and the impact operations has on the organization’s success. Collect and analyze data, prepare and present recommendations, and explain associated benefits and risks for improving operations.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Plans for and ensures adequate numbers of competent staff to fulfill departmental objectives.

  • Plans for, develops and implements high quality services in assigned area(s) for all identified customers in accordance with the philosophy and mission statement of Logan Health (LH).

  • Works with assigned staff to ensure customer satisfaction standards are met for all stakeholders. Effectively communicates objectives clearly and frequently to assigned staff.

  • Leads the preparation for, and coordinates with team prior to and during, the CMS and long-term care surveys.

  • Drives strategy and design for implementation of initiatives around quality improvement, attribution models, risk models, government programs and commercial payers.

  • Works across the LH system focusing on post-acute care utilization, reduction of unnecessary hospital utilization, prevention of readmissions, sustainable chronic disease management, and team-based care redesign.

  • Assists in setting benchmarks and standards for assigned area(s) based on data and healthcare regulations and requirements. Analyzes outcome data to identify areas for improvement. Participates in the continuing improvement of data quality by identifying, documenting and communicating data quality issues to the relevant database program areas.

  • Develops, implements, and administers successful and consistent service objectives, policies and procedures.

  • Supports development and oversight of assigned cost centers to ensure adherence to the LH mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and business strategies. Responsible for meeting financial and productivity staffing targets set annually.

  • In collaboration with appropriate stakeholders, develops and implements short and long range plans, leads, develops and revises programs that enhance assigned services.

  • Leads assigned area(s) in the overall marketing, program development and leadership service priorities. Coordinates with appropriate stakeholders to ensure continuity in pursing LH goals and synergy in implementing plans and problem resolution.

  • Practices process improvement principles to assess and improve the quality of the service/care provided within the assigned area(s). Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency safety standards relevant to job performance for assigned area(s).

  • Encourages an ethic of open communication and teamwork throughout LH. Builds an environment of shared commitment to LH’s goals and responsibility to achieve quality outcomes.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
