The Senior Accountant is responsible for the maintenance and control of various general ledger accounts and preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements and schedules. They must partner with the divisions to resolve business issues and provide useful financial information on a regular basis.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Complete the monthly close for assigned entities, to include reporting and analysis

  • Reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts to ensure correct account classification and accuracy

  • Audit A/P-processed invoices for accuracy

  • Prepare work papers for year-end audit and quarter end reviews

  • Act as mentor and a leader within the Accounting function by:

  • promoting a culture characterized by a strong work ethic and high standards, continuous improvement, professional development, and job satisfaction

  • managing the performance of assigned team members

  • collaborating with other team leaders and affiliates

  • Responsible for monitoring, calculating and recording cost allocations and/or accruals, which may include overhead, consolidations, percentage of completion and intercompany

  • Act as the point of contact for assigned entities

  • Assist with writing or updating policies and procedures and process improvements

  • Complete all other duties as assigned by manager

  • Represent the company professionally in all internal and external interactions

  • Adhere to company safety standards and help promote a safe working environment

Position Standards:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment

Position Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting

  • Strong experience as an Accountant with G/L emphasis required

  • CPA certification preferred

  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic, to include commitment to safeguarding confidential information

  • This role may be eligible for hybrid work
