This position, based in the Chicago downtown office, supports Vi's Respect, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (RDE&I) strategy for the organization. Working with the VP of Employee Relations and Chief Diversity Officer, you will support the creation and delivery of initiatives designed to build Vi's culture of inclusion and ensure the long-term sustainability of RDE&I efforts. You will be involved in the research, design, and implementation of programs and initiatives that contribute to creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
Responsibilities you will perform:
*Assist with drafting of the strategic RDE&I plan through conducting research, gathering data, and other related activities as well as the planning and delivery of high-quality training, awareness building, and other events for Community and Corporate employees.
*Identify external trends and best practices and opportunities which will increase RDE&I among the Vi's workforce.
*Support Community and Corporate outreach strategy and Employee Resource Groups' RDE&I efforts and activities.
*Assist in reviewing policies and procedures and developing internal communications for Vi's RDE&I efforts.
*Support and provide expertise in execution of Vi's talent acquisition strategy to help ensure recruitment of diverse applicants.
*Track and report on key RDE&I metrics.
Qualified applicants will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in development and execution of DE&I strategies and programs with extensive knowledge and understanding of applicable best practices and trends. Significant experience with RDE&I policies and procedures and the ability to work independently and leverage resources both internally and externally.
Additional requirements include:
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*High detail orientation with organization, customer service and multi-tasking skills.
*Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
*Proficient in MS Office, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
*Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is required. HR certification preferred.
