Controller Assistant

Position Overview: Your responsibilities will include supporting period/month end closings, validating accounting transactions, and aiding in internal audit control testing. This role is critical for maintaining high-quality financial reporting and operational excellence within our region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify control gaps and assist in designing and implementing solutions to enhance financial reporting integrity.

• Partner with various stakeholders, including the Financial Controller, Segment G&FC partners, auditors, and business operations associates, to drive efficiency, transparency, and controls within the reporting cycle.

• Leverage your digital capabilities to analyze financial results, provide insights, and drive continuous improvements in processes.

Requirements/Must Haves:

• Education: Degree in Finance/Accounting

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in finance or public accounting

• Industry Experience: background in Finance

• Skills: Proficiency in finance, accounting, and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred). Previous public accounting/auditing experience is highly valued. Exceptional communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

This role is temporarily backfilling our Controller who is going on maternity leave. This is a 12-month assignment. It will support period/month end closing processes, ensuring quality of accounting transactions and supporting on-going internal audit control testing. The North America region covers both the US and Canadian markets.

You will support the FP&A/Controller ensuring key reporting, accounting, internal controls, and processes are in place, supporting both the markets and factories within the region.

A significant part of the role is to identify control gaps, support designing solutions, validate and implement them to support high quality and integrity of financial reporting.

This role partners with multiple stakeholders including, the Financial Controller, Segment G&FC partners, SFO, auditors, ICTC, business operations Associates and others to identify and deliver improved efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and controls within the close and reporting cycle.

This role needs a high-level of digital capability as it requires analysis of results and providing insights to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financials and continuous improvements.

Required Experience: 5+ years professional working experience either working in CPG finance or public accounting

Industry Experience: CPG Finance Skills: Finance, accounting, ERP (SAP) experience, public accounting/auditing experience.
