Description

We are offering an opportunity to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina, as a Controller within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. The role revolves around overseeing our accounting team and implementing best practices to maintain internal controls for accurate and timely financial reporting. As a Controller, you will manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, account reconciliations, and budgets.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting team to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.

• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Oversee the payroll system to ensure accurate and timely payments.

• Maintain the general ledger and conduct regular account reconciliations.

• Develop and manage company budgets.

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions to streamline operations.

• Ensure compliance with DCAA regulations.

• Conduct regular internal audits and implement necessary changes.

• Utilize knowledge of accounting functions in the Real Estate/Property Management industry to maintain industry standards and best practices.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is needed.

• Familiarity with DCAA guidelines and procedures is expected.

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.

• Proficiency in handling ERP Solutions is required.

• Mastery of Accounting Functions is expected.

• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is essential.

• Proven experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• Auditing experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is essential.
