Miscowaubik Club Dining Room Manager in Calumet, Michigan

The Miscowaubik Club, a membership-based social club situated in the heart of Keweenaw National Historic Park, seeks a Dining Room Manager to join their leadership team in Calumet, Michigan.

As our Dining Room Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our main clubhouse dining room. You'll lead a team dedicated to delivering impeccable service, maintaining a high level of member satisfaction, and maximizing revenue through innovative strategies.

WHAT WE OFFER.

  • $23 -- $27 per hour starting wage with regular reviews and wage increases based on performance.
  • Full-time position working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday afternoon/evenings and Sunday mornings; some schedule flexibility is available.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

  • Lead staff in serving member dining needs.
  • Design floor plans and dining room set-ups.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements.
  • Hire, train, and supervise dining room staff including review/approval of time, attendance and hours worked.
  • Conduct daily revenue analyses and reports including daily POS closeout and tip distribution.
  • Resolve member concerns and complaints.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Maintain inventory and equipment standards.
  • Develop marketing initiatives to drive business growth.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • High school diploma or GED required; a degree in Hospitality preferred.
  • 3 or more years of dining room or hospitality supervisory experience preferred; experience working in a private club setting a bonus.
  • Michigan alcoholic beverage and food safety certifications, or ability to obtain these certifications within 90 days if hired for this position.
  • An exceptional ability to lead, mentor, and encourage a team environment.
