Danone Downline Operator in Bridgeton, New Jersey

Monitor case packing equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly, stock equipment with cardboard wraps and 2pk & 3 pack sleeves, troubleshoot and correct minor issues with the case packing equipment, including size changeovers 2pk-6pk, document and report Operator Quality Inspections and -take line samples per guidelines, CIP and ensure the work area is clean and always straightened, provide break relief to operations personnel, which may include Filler Operators and line take-away drivers as needed, record downtime data participate in root cause analysis and engage in corrective actions as directed by Supervisors/Lead, provide expert user advice and/or data as required to process observers, improvement teams and/or management for continuous improvement and process excellence initiatives, Flex Matrix training to accommodate Autonomous Maintenance, CIPs, and Allergen Turns events, forklift Qualified, perform duties as assigned, clean filler equipment any associated equipment for all turns, breakdowns, and as assigned by team lead or supervisor, perform other duties as assigned To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * A High School Diploma or GED is required * Manufacturing experience and/or packaging experience is preferred SKILLS AND ABILITITES: * Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) * Knowledge of safety programs and procedures * Experience operating packaging equipment * Available and willing to be contacted by phone in the event of an emergency and be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, late shifts and overtime Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals. Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, and small group situations, to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to hear and perceive information at normal spoke word levels.
