Job Summary:

The Beaver Creek Resort Company of Colorado (BCRC) combines a homeowners association and a resort association with some municipal services added. The Resort Company, a Colorado non-profit corporation, incorporated on April 30, 1979, was designed to help Beaver Creek become and remain a unique resort community.

The Beaver Creek Resort Company manages relationships and serves the community of homeowners, merchants, commercial owners, and lodging entities. As the BCRC operations expand throughout the village, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in elevating the accounting and finance operations. Work-Life balance is important for the office culture at BCRC, where we work hard to play hard in our beautiful backyard of Beaver Creek and the Vail Valley.

BCRC Finance Manager is responsible for accounting duties including but not limited to receipts, payables, collections and maintenance of property records, assisting Director of Finance with month end duties and preparing financial statements. This position will provide assistance, collaboration and strategic input to the Executive Director, Director of Administration and Director of Finance. This position is expected to grow and evolve with the complex financial needs of the organization seeking new technology, developing new processes and solutions for complex business issues.

Job Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: $66,100 - $75,000 + annual bonus

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round

Job Responsibilities:

Directly responsible or oversight for all of the following.

Leadership:

  • Provide a professional positive office atmosphere.

  • Manage and develop Administrative Assistant in the finance and accounting tasks assigned.

  • Attend and participate in Vail Resorts & Beaver Creek leadership meetings with focus on office culture, DEI, and employee/personal development.

Accounting:

  • Accounts payable, vendor setups and W-9 record keeping.

  • Accounts Receivable invoice preparation and collection.

  • Company credit card monthly reconciliation.

  • Month-End Closing operations, including manual accounts payable accruals, balance sheet account

  • Reconciliations, and assessment reconciliations.

  • Process monthly Sales and Use Tax returns.

  • Assessment tracking and collection.

  • Responsible for collection on RETA, Civic, Lodging and Mountain Assessments, Short Term Rental compliance and business licenses.

  • Assist Director of Finance with Year-End Audit preparation for contracted CPA audit.

Finance manager to special events:

  • Oversite on all event budget trackers.

  • Onsite during all signature events that are transacting sales: Memorial Day Weekend BB&B, Labor Day Weekend Oktoberfest, Birds of Prey Weekends and others as needed

  • Reconciling event revenues and prepare journal entries.

  • Post event analysis.

Financial

  • Assist with monthly financial statements and variance analysis.

Other:

  • Assist with Office Management.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Accounting Degree or Equivalent Experience

  • At least 5 years accounting/financial analysis experience required.

  • Ability to strategically analyze data and articulate strategic input where needed.

  • Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Google docs, Multiview Financial Platform, Square, Teams, Zoom.

  • Strong written and verbal communication with ability to give clear explanation.

  • Possess strong leadership and integrity.

  • Must be a team player with excellent time-management, organizational, and people-management skills.

  • Must be willing to work hours that support the resort operations. Some evenings and holidays may apply.

  • Must be available in office location in Beaver Creek, Colorado.

The expected pay range is $66,100 - $75,000 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
