Position Summary

Reporting to the IT Director, The IS Support Tech position supports the implementation and integration of UHS/IPM clinical and business applications for ambulatory services. Requires phone or in person support of clinic IT/IS issues. Some markets have clinic operations spanning into evening and/or weekend. Responsible for management and oversight of IT Design & Construction projects. Role will support UHS/IPM Ambulatory Facilities/Clinics.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responds to tickets issued through Service Desk, providing assistance to end users for application and hardware support as directed. Responds to questions and problems from end users in a timely and professional manner. Coordinates issue workaround until resolution is complete. Notifies impacted users of issue status.

  • Support ongoing IT projects by installing hardware and software as directed.

  • Performs routine system monitoring and updates documentation in a timely fashion.

  • Develops and executes test plans to ensure system performance and integration.

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements

  • High School Graduate Equilvalent and at least 1 year completion of Technical School

  • 1 to 3 years in a technical support role

  • Patient care setting preferred.

  • Professional Certification, preferred.

  • Must be able to work with little to no supervision at times

  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot multi-factorial problems in a time sensitive fashion.

  • PC and Office application support. Knowledge of patient privacy laws and regulations.

  • MS AD Administration skills. Basic networking competency and ISP troubleshooting.
